CHICAGO, IL – December 2, 2013 – Peerless Network, Inc., a leading provider of carrier and enterprise interconnection solutions, today announced it has acquired Intelepeer’s voice peering business effective November 29, 2013. The transaction creates a combined company with anticipated revenue exceeding $200 million per year. The acquisition further enhances Peerless’ status as the premier IP-based voice service provider by increasing its geographic coverage, broadening its product portfolio and achieving industry leading scale.

“This transaction, the first of several initiatives, creates significant financial strength and scale necessary for us to extend our leadership position,” said John Barnicle, President and CEO of Peerless Network. “This is also an important transaction for our customers, employees and investors as we can leverage new capabilities and more opportunities for further growth. Our success to date has been measured by a consistent track record of growth, the ability to deliver quality-based new products and a focused dedication to meeting our customers’ needs. That will continue with the combined company.”

Peerless will now be certified in forty-five states, have increased capacity and additional direct connects to carriers and enhanced least cost routing capabilities to further lower costs. Network integration is expected to be fully completed over the next few months.
